Not built as specified/paid for, horrible customer service effort and turnaround.

I have to admit, first, that I am overall really disappointed with the customer service effort with this purchase. I ordered an 8' long headrail (be wary of the fact ~ and note that there's no prior warning of this ~ that the only shipping option can be up to almost 70% of the cost of the item, itself!!) and it did not come as specified and paid for. The morning after it arrived I called the customer service number to see what options were available (hoping that I could just make the adjustments myself to meet my needs vs imagining the hassle of having another one shipped and having to return ship/discard of this one, present) and left a voicemail. After a day or 2 of no call or response I called again; still, no available cs agent. I also tried the live chat a few times and it does not work. I finally send an email and they respond a few days later (I emailed on a Friday morning). In the meantime while awaiting any form of response I elect just to install the headrail that I have and reconfigure the space to work around it, get it out of the way. The response on Monday addressed none of my questions, merely apologized and said they'd "issue a remake," which I was really hoping to avoid. I responded that I would rather them cancel and just pay back the additional charges for my specifications and they more quickly obliged. Still, I feel the response-resolution was woefully insufficient, that little accountability for the mishap(s) was taken, and that my experience as a customer was extremely poor.

The good:
- The item was delivered before the original estimate (but paying $150 to ship was Insane!)
- Installation was straight-forward, seems that it will otherwise meet my needs

The bad:
- When there were problems, ReSlat was hard to reach and inefficient with the customer's time.
- About a week turnaround to even acknowledge the customer issue, despite numeral attempts to contact.
- Shipping costs are absurd.
- There doesn't seem to be any real recourse for if the wrong item/spec is shipped, outside of shipping a new one. What am I to do with the original one? Or two of them? Is it not possible for me to adjust myself vs all this hassle? I still do not have answers to these questions..

As this is all for a custom blinds project I've yet to see if all of this headache will actually be worth it, but I am hopeful. I will update with any further issues.
