The new slats were a snap to change out with the old. We took putty knives to slip out the old and a simple snap in of the new and VOILA! A brand new look for the room we love.

Exactly what we needed to replace the broken slats we had in our new house. The many color options were fairly easy to see and the color I bought was a perfect match. The hardest part was deciding the texture and color of the slats.
We chose Quantum S in cream. The S style gives the effect of drapes hanging when closed, very nice.

While we knew we needed to update our vertical blinds, I was worried about just replacing the slats. Slats. Ended up being much easier than I expected. And the new slats look far better than I thought they would. They even offer room darkening which is already making it easier to sleep.

I purchase new Bali vertical blinds and about 5 months later the plastic gear in the Bali headrail wore out. That should not have happened, but the headrail was cheaply made. I love my slats., so I decided to just change the rail.
I found a compatible steel rail from Reslat. I just removed the old rail, screwed in the new one and transferred the slats. It works beautifully!

I was dissapointed that there is not a side string pull to open blinds rather a stick wond. Also, the wond being in the middle makes it difficult to close the blinds tight as the wond gets in the way of complete closing. It is my fault that I did not realize there was a wond stick to open..I just assumed the heavy duty expensive version of a headrail had the string pull like the cheaper one I was replacing.
I had to trim an eighth of an inch of the bottom, but no problem; they were very easy to trim. I will order some more.
