I replaced a 30 year old headrail that hardly opened without really pulling hard on the cord. And rotating the vanes with their chain was next to impossible. This new one (G-71) is like a hot knife through warm butter. Opens and closes effortlessly and even automatically positions closed hanging vanes into the open position before pulling them aside. I can't figure out how they do this but it's really slick. The web site does not do color pictures and customer service won't comment on the color, probably due to other customers who had issues. My actual headrail is a brushed stainless or brushed aluminum color that matched my old headrail perfectly. I wasn't expecting that. I have two other headrails in the same room and you can't spot the difference. You might want to spring for the extra $5 to get customizable brackets, which I did just to be safe, but in the end I made it work with the new brackets that were standard. The $5 was great peace of mind. I will buy more of this G-71 and only wish now I had not lived so long with my old troublesome headrail.
